There may not be many but are certain numbers of copperware companies in Japan. But what makes Gyokusendo distinctly different is the technique of multi coloring copperware.
The company was founded in 1816, making it more than 200 years history. The main store is located in Tsubame city in Niigata prefecture.
Uniquely for Japanese historical company, Gyokusendo's name is spread worldwide.
Using single plate of copper and struck to form complete copperware, such technique is called "Tsuikidoki" (鎚起銅器) is only inherited by Gyokusendo.
