I will be posting about "Yoshikawa" (株式会社ヨシカワ), a kitchen tools company which are divided for three parts as
The first post is series of Kitchen tools - EAトCO such as Tong, serving chopsticks, measuring cup, cutting board, etc.

The company was founded in 1952. It is located in Niigata where is mecca of metal products. Although there are a few exceptions, most of their products are metal related.
Their slogan is to become "premium beer" in kitchen tools market. It is metaphorical, of course. Let me explain.
Not like general, low-priced nor low-malt beer which only relieve thirst.
More friendly in terms of price. Not too premium like expensive wine.
Target customers who have a bit extra rooms in their mind and budget.
Prioritize quality rather than quantity, and sold in any sales networks.
At restaurants, sushi restaurants have ready to serve that fits their "rank".
Simple but special.
Knowing about their products should make these much easier to understand what they mean by "premium beer". Variety of kitchen tools in this post is called "EAトCO" (pronounced as iitoko) which is a combined word of "EAT" and "COOKING". (A symbol in between "EA" and "CO" is "ト". A katakana word for hiragana word of "と", often used as "and" in Japanese.)

Hakalu measuring cup.

This beautiful stainless measuring cup has three ways; measure, mix and feed. Width of the rim is wide, perfect tool for mixing dressings, sauce, etc. The scales are on both sides of the cup, easy to measure water level.
The body is stainless in chic design. Great interior tool when putting on dining table right after mixing sauce.
Hasam tongs.

A pair of tongs; spoon and drainer.
Scooping food with this side down drains unwanted water or sauce.
The tongs are perfect gadget for someone like me who cook spaghetti often. With this item, serving spaghetti will be a lot easier.
Tolu spatula.
Price: ¥1,944
This spatula is polished a 1 mm thick stainless steel plate and scraped it down to about half the thickness. The sophisticated work give "stickiness" and "elasticity" of stainless steel.
As thin and supple, flipping a hamburger steak, serving terrines and cakes which are easy to collapse is not a problem with this tool.
Saibashi tongs.

Flat design, serving chopsticks in tongs shape. Very easy to pick up small foodstuff such as beans. Can be used when deep-frying and serving.
Stylish and modernized tongs of chopsticks. The edge of the handle catches edges of pan and dishes, making hard to slip off.
Suqu serving spoon.
Price: ¥1,296
Shallow curved spoon made of stainless steel. The grip is fairly wide, fits right in your hand.
Since the end of the handle has a hook shape, it is nice to know that you do not have to worry about slipping into dishes and pots.
Tate tool container.

Easy to clean tool container, stainless steel made. Simple and cool kitchen tool container.
The bottom is made with silicon rubber. So, sounds when storing tools are very quiet.
The lid is removable. Easy to clean, very hygienic
Ita cutting board.

New idea cutting board, combining plain wood and resin. They are separable.
There is a groove at the boundary between the white part and the resin part, designed to prevent spilling juice of cut foodstuff out. The resin discreet meat juice, making this a perfect cutting board and dish to serve on dinning table.
The resin and plain wood are separable and can be used for different purposes by turning over the plain wood. (The resin board is sold separately. Long: 390mm × 170mm × 10mm, Short: 260mm × 170mm × 10mm)

Stainless food container. Utilizing the characteristics of metal with high heat conductivity, it is possible to store foodstuff quickly.
Made of high quality 18-8 stainless steel and very high sealability.
See-through lid is easy to tell components. Plypropylene lid (Heat-resistant 90 degrees Celsius/ 194 degrees Fahrenheit, cold-resistant -20 degrees C/ -4 degrees F.)
Although prices can't be said cheap, they are products made carefully one by one, dedication and commitment of their work are shown in every detail of the products. I can assure you Yoshikawa's items are worth spending a bit extra. You'll love them.
