Paulownia trees (桐) grow in some countries in Asia. What makes Japanese paulownia the best material is weather. Temperature, soil, water, and sunlight, all combined, are essential. The trees tend to grow slowly and Japanese paulownia grows the slowest, making its tree ring inside more dense. So, Paulownia crafts in Japan is top quality items of such.
