Soy meat (Daizu meat) by Karuna
LOW CALORIE AND FAT, SOY MEAT. GOOD FOR A DIET EVEN SATISFY BOTH VEGETARIAN AND CARNIVORE.
It's been quite a while since fake meat was invented and it made me think the health is built on sacrifice. Believing unfounded faith that "This has got to be good for my health" just because to convince yourself and keep putting yucky object in your mouth. If you can call "it" food, then, move on and stop reading this post.
Especially if you are on a diet, the most important thing is to enjoy it. Pleasure is the most effective factor to keep you going and of course, to get the best results.
Due to many reasons, religion, belief, food style, etc, more people are avoiding to eat animal protein. "Daizu marugoto meat" (大豆まるごとミート) by "Karuna" (かるなぁ) is definitely worth trying.
It is made from only soy beans that are non-GMO, additive-free and gluten-free. Containing, vegetable protein, dietary fiber, vitamin B group, minerals, Soy isoflavones, saponin and lecithin.
The soy beans oil is squeezed out and compressed in at high temperature. That is why the texture is almost identical to meat, so even if you are carnivore, this product can be used to bulk out the amount of real meat.
Preparation is simply done. Put these soy meat in cold water and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Time of boiling differ depending on the product. For example, minced type should take only 5 minutes boiling.
Drain the hot water and repeat wash and squeeze for a couple of times. The rest is the same as real meat.

If you don't mind mild smell of soy beans, edible without cooking. Crispy texture and rich flavor of daizu (soy) is healthy snack.
Cooked "Hamberg steak" (similar food to Salisbury steak, very popular in Japan.)
The texture is softer than I expected but it tastes like Tofu steak. (No wonder - They are both made from soy beans.) Putting diced onion and carrot, with a bit of garlic and ginger deepen the taste.

This one is also edible as raw (?). The texture is like potato chips.
Stir with sesame oil, red pepper, sesame, soy sauce and mirin. Cut cabbage into thin stripes to add color on your plate.
Even though it was washed, there is no watery texture. It is important to drain water by squeezing quite hard. You won't believe if this is made from only soy beans. That's how much this product is similar to texture of meat.

Who likes "karaage" (唐揚げ)? Japanese fried chicken.
Deep-frying without breading. Putting batter and seasoning before frying is also a good way to enjoy this food. Instead, placed mayonnaise with chili pepper.
Although it depends on how long you fry it, it's very crispy. The juicy-ness of marugoto daizu is much less than real karage, but still very delicious.
Surprisingly, the flavor of soy beans becomes unnoticeable when cooked. That is another factor making it tastes just like real meat.
